It Must be Spring
For the third day in a row now one of my stinkin' cats have brought a live bird in the house. I swear they do it just so they can watch them fly around the living room. It has become such a common occurance that we keep an extendable fishing net outside the back door so we can rescue them (the birds) and let them go outside again. If we are out and the cat brings in a live bird that he does not let escape, then the poor little thing's feathers are all over the house.......Evil, Evil things these cats!
14 whole days to go.....I fixed my windshield so that it actually fits my bike and put the saddle bags on permanently the other day. The plates are on and now we are just waiting for a sunny day here to take them out for a test ride. I purchased the bike in October and I have ridden it exactly once before it was put away for the season. I am hoping that I will at least get to take it out once here before we ride the 2000 or so kilometers to get to Cabo San Lucas from Sacramento.

Ice & the man in the mountain

At times I wonder if I am losing my mind.......and then I realize everyone has lost theirs and I am just fine!
Jasper for Parks....for work....hmmmm....but it was a conference and I had to do some work so while it was clear and sunny we toiled away in a subterranean conference room for two whole days. But then we were granted a reprieve, they let us loose and we had a chance to do some hikes and do some outside work. On the last night we went out to Malign canyon and walked along the bottom of the river in the dark up to a pothole and some ice falls. On our return the newly eclipsed moon was so bright we didn't need our headlamps. As we walked along in the moonlight I thought we must have been the luckiest people on earth at that moment.....
It took me a while to get the pictures on the computer because we have been busy doing a million and one things to get ready for this trip.....better late than never.
I do have some more pics up on Flickr www.flickr.com/photos/andreajarman/ This should get you there if it doesn't let me know.
Cheers!
