I think there is a song by that name.....
So I went down to Hope to help Grandma out so her house will be ready for sale when she (and my parents) get back from Egypt. They all suck! We painted her kitchen cupboards and put some tiles in her bathroom (the peel and stick kind) and I changed some light fixtures and switches for her. We had a good time but I think she wanted me to leave so she could recover.....we had fun and the kitchen looks so much brighter. But I didn't take any pictures.....
Then I went to Lisa's (my cousin) in Maple Ridge and while staying with her visited Jill and Fred and my friend Vero. She and her husband just had the cutest boy, Victor. While Lisa was at work Vero, Victor and I visited an old friend at the Vancouver Aquarium. There we met a raccoon stealing food out of the garbage can out front. So of course I took pictures of that! We also had a bit of an adventure on Grouse Mountain, that's Victor and I after we were nearly attacked by wolves! Looks pretty calm doesn't he?? I'm nervous because I am holding a baby! Well it was not nearly as exciting as it sounds. Vero had K9 (the dog) with her and the wolves that were in a "habitat" next to the parking lot were a little too interested and tried to jump the fence. (They couldn't jump that high but it was pretty exiting for a few seconds.)
John made a stop in Vancouver on his way to Calgary to play paintball so we could go to the Abbotsford Bike show, Friday morning. Lisa, John and I saw some pretty cool bikes including one of the OCC production choppers. We bought an intercom system so we could talk to each other on trips (in case we get separated at lights ect.) and got to check out some other cool bike related stuff. Then he was back on the plane and on his way to Calgary by the afternoon. He had a good weekend playing paintball but his ordeal was just beginning. Their plane sat on the end of the runway in Calgary for three hours and then by the time he got to Vancouver (Calgary flights are routed through Vancouver) at 12:00 am he had missed the last flight to PG. So they
put him up in a hotle but put him on standby and had to be back at he airport at 6:00am, the first two flights were full so he didn't land in PG until 11:00am and to top it all off the truck which had been sitting at the airport in PG at -40 was frozen and it took a couple of hours to get that going. By the time he got home he was two hours ahead of me and I drove home!!Fun and Games in the North! For remedy see post below.
